Your Health In Good Hands

Hello! I’m glad you’re here and excited to connect with you.

Therapy can be a daunting process and sometimes it helps to know who the person is who’s sitting across from you.

Colleen is a licensed clinical social worker and owner of Peak Perspectives Counseling. Over the last 15 years she has had the honor to work with children, adolescents and adults in a variety of settings as they navigate transitions and challenges in life. From pediatric palliative care to inpatient psychiatric hospitals, Colleen has helped clients navigate some of their hardest moments.

Colleen now specializes in providing therapy for high-achieving, driven, and high-functioning adolescents and adults who feel the weight of life in a way that isn’t sustainable.

Her approach to therapy is goal-oriented, honest, and welcoming. In session she encourages clients to meet themselves where they’re at, to drop their mask of perfectionism, and to begin to notice their thoughts, feelings, and the patterns that kept them stuck and unfulfilled.

Colleen is an eclectic therapist, meaning she weaves together modalities she is both trained and certified in, when they’re most effective. Integrating techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) clients can begin to observe negative self talk patterns and thought spirals to decrease their stress responses to every day life. With Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) clients can process trauma in an evidence-based modality that helps them finally leave the past in the past and live meaningfully in the present.

Outside of therapy, Colleen enjoys donating time and talent in animal welfare, foster care, and to local youth sports teams. Last year Colleen was honored as the Phoenix Suns/Phoenix Mercury Community Coach of the Year.
